If you recently saw the AMC series Mad Men on TV, you undoubtedly remember Betty, the character played by actress January Jones. That's her actual name: January Jones.

Perhaps Ms. Jones has Downtown Vancouver porcelain veneers. She is a gorgeous woman with a beautiful smile as you can tell from just looking at her photos. A former Dairy Queen employee, Ms. Jones hails from South Dakota. She is a stylish American gal on top of being an excellent actress.

You can readily tell what a fabulous effect Ms. Jones gets from having a dazzling smile. She may well have had Downtown Vancouver porcelain veneers for all I know, although she has never been a patient of mine. She might have had a Downtown Vancouver smile makeover as far as that goes, but I'm not the one who did it. But I have worked on (and still do work on) some well known people in the past.

My favorite patients are the ones who care about their overall dental health and who are concerned about having a beautiful smile. As a medical discipline, dentistry can either be decorative or restorative. Occasionally the two are combined. I do both kinds of dental work. Your health is my number one concern. My second concern is also important and that is appearance. But they function cooperatively together.

I do a lot of porcelain veneers in my office here in Downtown Vancouver, and I always try to minimize the destruction of natural tooth material. I want to make sure your teeth stay just as strong and secure as they were previous to the work I do. And if you ever reconsider the veneers and decide you want them taken off, it's easily done. I never want to use cosmetics as a reason to sacrifice good dental health. But since you are the patient, you'll be the one to make the decisions.
